Iota Phi Theta National Scholarship Program

Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated is committed to the perpetuation of scholarship and academic achievement amongst its members and those in the community. Because of our commitment to scholarship, Iota is excited to provide an opportunity to support one in their academic endeavors. The program will offer scholarships to brothers, and unaffiliated men and women graduating high school, who demonstrate a desire to learn, are involved in their communities, and could greatly benefit from additional financial support. Applications will be made available on a continual basis. All guidelines and requirements are stated on each application.

Applicants must meet the below criteria to be considered for an award:

  1.  Accepted to a 2 or 4-year college/university
  2. High school graduate
  3. Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA 

Applicants may apply for this scholarship by submitting the following:

  1.  A completed application addressing your:
    • Personal/Professional goals
    • Honors & awards
    • Leadership & community involvement
  2. Resume
  3. Two (2) letters of recommendation (One from a Brother of Iota and one from a teacher, advisor or community member)
  4. Unofficial transcript
  5. Letter of acceptance to 2 or 4-year college/university
  6. Headshot

Applicants must meet the below criteria to be considered for an award:

  1. Full-time undergraduate student
  2. Currently enrolled at an accredited degree-granting institution
  3. At least 24 college credits
  4. In good financial standing with the Fraternity. As well, the chapter of membership must be in good standing.
  5. Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA

Applicants may apply for this scholarship by submitting the following:

  1.  A completed application addressing your:
    • Personal/professional goals
    • Honors & awards
    • Leadership & community involvement
  2. Resume
  3. Two (2) letters of recommendation. One letter must come form the undergraduate chapter, Polaris of the sponsoring graduate chapter or Regional Polaris. The remaining letter can come from a university official (professor, dean, advisor, etc.) or professional contact.
  4. Unofficial transcript
  5. Headshot

Applicants must meet the below criteria to be considered for an award:

  1. Graduate student pursuing masters level degree
  2. Currently enrolled at an accredited degree-granting institution
  3. In good financial standing with the Fraternity. As well, the chapter of membership must be in good standing with the Fraternity.
  4. Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA

Applicants may apply for this scholarship by submitting the following:

  1. A completed application addressing your:
    • Personal/Professional goals
    • Honors & awards
    • Leadership & community involvement
  2. Resume
  3. Two (2) letters of recommendation (one from a Brother of Iota and one from a professor, advisor or community member)

  2. Currently enrolled at an accredited degree-granting institution
  3. In good standing with the Fraternity. As well, the chapter of membership must be in good standing with the Fraternity.
